Watermelon Mountain Ranch Anicmal Center
This video gives an overall tour of the property and our different lifesaving areas. These areas to include dog cottages for large and small breed dogs, free roam cattery and overview shots of the 10 acre facility in Northern Rio Rancho.
Since 1996, WMR has grown to be New Mexico’s largest no kill animal shelter, rescuing abused, abandoned and neglected animals all over the southwest. Watermelon Mountain Ranch is a recognized Networking Partner of Best Friends Animal Society, and has saved the lives of over 150,000 dogs, cats, and more.
Our 10-acre facility is a fully functioning animal care center complete with a veterinary clinic, an animal retirement village, dog cottages, a free roam cattery, and a modest administration building.
We fundraise year-round to support our low cost spay/neuter clinics, outreach programs for the special needs community and at-risk youth, disaster relief and rescue for abandoned pets, and our foster and adoption programs.
