Hong Kong is best known for its shopping and dim sum, but this city also has many picturesque pools to cool off in. From world’s highest pool to natural infinity ponds on mountain sides – here are the best hk pools to help refresh and cool off this summer.
Hong Kong boasts many outstanding public swimming pools, but some stand out more than the others. Morrison Hill Swimming Pool in particular stands out due to its unique amenities for kids such as water play areas and slides surrounded by water play area; in addition, there’s also a snack bar on-site which provides much-needed refreshments after all that swimming!
Another excellent option is the YMCA Bridges Street Centre swimming pool, Hong Kong’s oldest indoor pool that remains relatively affordable for adults ($17 during weekdays, $19 on weekends and public holidays, concession rates available to children and seniors). Situated within an historic complex, it makes an excellent way to cool off from Hong Kong’s scorching sun and oppressive humidity.
JW Marriott offers another excellent way to refresh yourself in style: its pool. Situated right in Admiralty and surrounded by towering skyscrapers, swimming around its waters is truly unforgettable; furthermore, an al fresco Fish Bar and Pool Lounge provides ample opportunity for replenishment before and after swimming.
Tai Wan Shan is one of our favourite Hong Kong pools as not only is it stunning with gorgeous views, but also underrated. Boasting one of Hong Kong’s biggest pools – guaranteeing you have your own lane for swimming or simply lounging and floating. Plus it’s nearby the Tseung Kwan O library so you can catch up on reading while relaxing by the water!
Are you in search of an even more impressive pool? Check out W Hong Kong’s rooftop Wet Pool; located 76 floors up, you’ll be working out amongst the clouds as it provides breathtaking views over Hong Kong. Bring along your camera for some unforgettable photographs.
Kwun Tong Swimming Pool is often undervalued as an underrated choice because its size often surprises people and it doesn’t attract as much foot traffic as other popular destinations in town. Boasting Olympic sized main and leisure pools as well as two teaching pools, plus sunbathing/relaxation spots galore, why not come check it out and take a dip today – you won’t regret it!
