Encore Creativity for Older Adults
Video content is a talk by Encore's Founder and Artistic Director, Ms. Jeanne Kelly, who introduces Encore and its impact on the lives of those it serves. The transcript is as follows:
"Hello, I’m Jeanne Kelly, and I am the founder of Encore Creativity for Older Adults, where thousands of people age 55 and older have found their voice by participating in Encore’s music programs. Whether they choose to sing in a traditional or rock-n-roll chorus, or our chorus for those with Alzheimer’s, Encore’s unique work proves every day the many physical, mental, and social benefits that singing under a professional conductor provides. There are no auditions for Encore, as we welcome all to participate in our choirs and free concerts including The Kennedy Center Concert Hall. We also offer international concert tours and summer sleepaway camps. Above all, our singers find joy, community and artistic excellence. We are so grateful for the generosity of federal employees like yourself and the Combined Federal Campaign for supporting meaningful programs that change lives. We hope you will consider Encore Creativity in your charitable giving. Help older adults sing for life!"
